Meet Our Staff
AMY BURNETTE (Director/Owner)
Amy Burnette's love of dance and the arts began as
a young child learning in her mother's studio. The minute she was old
enough to assist and teach Amy was helping her mom with classes and
choreography. To further her expertise, she attended Oklahoma City
University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of
Performing Arts. Before graduation she had already secured her first
professional job performing as a Follies Girl in Crazy For You at
North Shore Music Theatre. During this time Amy auditioned for the
World Famous Radio City Rockettes and became part of a living legend for
11 straight years.
Amy's experience and passion for the arts has lead her to follow in her
mother's footsteps and create a dance and performing art's school. She
feels like Jersey City is a thriving arts community but lacks a
professional quality studio where children can learn and grow in the
performing arts. Her developmental program builds confidence,
self-esteem, & coordination to create a well rounded whole artist.
Amy and her staff will provide professional quality instruction in a
supportive, non-competitive environment to all levels, from recreational
spent six years performing in Mary Poppins on Broadway. She
has performed the role of Millie in the Thoroughly Modern Millie
Broadway Tour. Other Broadway and National Tour credits include Kiss Me Kate, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Parade, The Music Man and Showboat on London's West End.
has toured throughout the US and Canada performing and teaching
theatre, voice and dance. Laura has been the recipient of many awards
and scholarships from dance conventions and competitions such as Dance
Caravan, PDTA, Dance Masters and Dance Olympus. She continues to study
in NYC at Steps and Broadway Dance Center and is also a certified
Pilates instructor, choreographer, and jewelry maker! www.broadwaybaubles.com and Lauraschutter.com
